He studied sociology and theater art in Paris then founded Shem’s Advertising in 1972, one of the first advertising agencies in Morocco. This will be followed by the launch of several other sister agencies, specialized in communication, design and public relations.

Early involved in civic action, he launched the magazine Kalima in 1982; afterwards, in 1995, he founded the first Moroccan microcredit foundation Zakoura Micro-Crédit and Zakoura Education foundation two years later.

In addition, he created the association Daba 2007 to stimulate political engagement from citizens and young people in particular, during the general elections of that year.

He is also the founder of Transparency Morocco (fight against corruption), Collective Democracy and Modernity and Fondation des Arts Vivants of which he is Chairman.

Regular speaker at conferences in Morocco and abroad, he is the author of several articles and the book “Zakoura, Action for Employment and Education”.
