Jacinta NZIOKA-MBITHI Director of Marketing, Kenya Tourism Board Jacinta has over 15 years experience in tourism destination marketing and is currently the Director of Marketing at the Kenya Tourism Board. She has been involved in various initiatives, projects and programmes within Kenya’s tourism industry in the destination tourism brand positioning, managed various consumer and trade promotions, destination profiling campaigns, intersectoral partnerships and has represented kenya tourism in many local and international forums. Jacinta’s passion is in rural tourism development and involvement of women in sustainable tourism development where she has overseen two community based projects in Narok and Makueni, Kenya. Jacinta is one of the founding members of the Kenya Association of Women in Tourism (KAWT) where she is a volunteer executive director and participates in mentorship and training in various tourism universities and colleges in Kenya, is a part time lecturer at Moi University Kenya, and Guest Lecturer at the University of London School of Oriental and African Studies as well as the University of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Jacinta holds a Bsc. Tourism Management (Moi University, Kenya), Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing of Services (Maastricht University, Netherlands) and an MBA in Strategic Management (Moi University, Kenya). She is currently a member of the Marketing Society of Kenya and a Board Member of Ecotourism Kenya. |
